We have an opening for a full-time/part-time WAITER/WAITRESS position.

Location: 801 THOMPSONVILLE ROAD, Suffield, CT 06078. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time/Part-Time schedules; open availability preferred. (Tue-Fri - 11:00am to 2:30pm/4:30 to 9:00pm), (Fri-Sat 11:00am to 4:30pm/4:30 - 9:30pm) (Monday off), days and times may vary; more details upon interview.

Requirement:

  • No Experience required

  • Willing to train

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide guest’s complete dining and restaurant experience

  • Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times

  • Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service

  • Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing

  • Maintain a sanitary environment for incoming and outgoing guests including but not limited to sanitizing tables and chairs and sanitizing bathrooms between guest use and before/after service.

  • Ensure proper table maintenance, including water service, pre-bussing, etc.

  • Set up and break down tables and chairs for dine-in guests.

  • Package, label and bag to go items pertaining to take-out and delivery orders.

  • Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner

  • Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary

  • Ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service

  • Engage management for any guest issue or complaint

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas

  • Stocking and preparing service related items, setting server stations and the like

  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds,  sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
